The Judgement Card, RWS

Hello Dear Followers! As one week closes out, another rises and asks us to face our history as a whole and accept how our life has been playing out.

This week’s card comes from Major Arcana. Judgement. It calls us to reckon with our successes and failures. There’s an honesty and hope in that. When we accept our lives as a whole and accept the fragments, new beginnings blossom. For the coming Spring, that’s a wonderful thing.

We all talk about Spring Cleaning when this time of year arrives. We set our clocks ahead an hour here in the US. Did you set your clocks? Don’t forget to check the clock in your car. I find that clock the most frustrating one. I never seem to remember before I put the car in drive on Monday morning.

But we want the Spring to arrive. We welcome it with arms wide. We open the windows and let the fresh air cleanse our spaces. We look forward to the Sun shining its growth energy and warmth on us and the planet. We are thinking of the flowers we will plant and the grass that needs our attention. This time of year is glorious and can be even better if we take the meaning of the Judgement card to heart.

This card asks us to look at our past, the history of who we are and who we have become. The trials we have experienced. The failures and successes from which we have learned lessons, both hard and easy. It tells us to let go of the parts of our pasts that no longer serve and pull the fragments of ourselves together and heal. Our subconscious knows those parts intimately, even the ones we have hidden from our waking selves. Tune into your intuition and allow those fragments to meld into the whole you.

Release the parts of the past that hold you back. This week Judgement is telling you that you need to own your story. Learn from the mistakes of the past and put the lessons to good use. You can move into a new phase and explore ideas and parts of yourself you thought were not possible. Your past doesn’t define you unless you allow it to do so. Who you become is in your own hands. And those hands have power. The power to transform and build something amazing.

Release the urge to criticize yourself and others. Stop finding fault in yourself. Forgive yourself and others to forge a new path. You are already on a new path, even if you cannot see it yet. This week and the coming Spring are new, fresh beginnings. Tap into your intuition to see where that path is if you haven’t already seen it.

Rise above drama and criticism, let your mind and heart soar. Look behind and see the line that separates the “before and after” you. Look in the mirror and see the fresh you that has earned every line in your face. We don’t get out of this life without them. It doesn’t matter what your age is, there’s character in that face that is well earned. It’s life’s lessons letting us know that we have survived many battles and overcome the trials. Embrace that life. You’re well-armed now to move forward.

This is a turning point, both in the year and in you. Use that experience to walk forward with confidence. You have earned the strength you have, the power of transformation that is in your hands, and each lesson is a gift that you give yourself.
